Literary Magazine Call for Submissions 🖌️ 🎵 🎨🖋️

TK - 12th Grade Teachers, Parents, and Students,  Ex Nihilo, the literary magazine of creative music, art and writing, is now accepting submissions from students in all grades for the first-ever issue slated to come out at the end of May 2019! This year’s theme is the temporary versus the eternal. We would like for you to submit your best poetry, fiction, nonfiction, paintings, drawings, photography, musical recordings that apply to this theme and could be featured in the literary magazine. To have your creative music, art and writing included in the magazine, please use this form to include your submission. High schoolers who are interested: NCSMA AWARD INFORMATION When we submit the literary magazine to the NCSMA Literary Magazine competition, your entries that are featured in the magazine will be eligible for an award.   PROSE Fiction Feature - Nonfiction story told in a creative manner; includes engaging details throughout. Personal Essay - original nonfiction story based in a personal experience or narrative. Drama - one piece of a play narrative POETRY VISUAL ARTS Photography/Art Layout - A collection of artistic photography designed as a unit; engaging subject matter; creative composition techniques Individual Photograph - Artistic photograph; engaging subject matter; creative composition techniques; atrributed to one photographer  Graphic - One piece of original illustration; may be hand-drawn or designed on a computer. Individual Art - One piece of original art, any medium, in the format it appeared in the magazine; attributed to one artist.
